Green Careers Interactive Tool
This interactive tool has been developed with the final user in mind, the learner, the student, the employee. It allows you to navigate through different layers of information related to green careers. The first layer introduces you to each of the ten work contexts that you could potentially work in a green career. So, if you are interested in working in Oceans and Coasts, for example, you could click on Ocean and Coastal Carers and explore all the possible careers within this landscape. With your interest then piqued in one or more particular landscape, you can then explore the list of possible careers in that landscape as a second layer. Once you have narrowed your scope of interest down to a few careers, click on each of them individually and you will have access to the specific information for that career, including the career context, the tasks with which you are likely to engage, the skills needed, learning pathways that could take you into this career and potential employers.

Clicking on the partner logos at the bottom of the page will also redirect you to the Khetha National Career Advice portal of the Department of Higher Education and Training for more information on careers and the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment’s Green Skills Portal with more information on job and graduate opportunities, information on bursaries and scholarships and training opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming you into working for the environment and improved well being for both people and nature.
